Countering the Weapon Threat

If your risk assessment finds that your staff are at risk from weapons, body armour is often the first line of defence, as it protects the vital organs such as the heart, kidneys and lungs.
Unfortunately when we look at areas of the body where edged
weapon injuries occur as a percentage, we find that even with body armour 60% of
those areas are still exposed, including the head, neck and major arteries.
Therefore the issue of body armour does not replace training, it simply requires
a more specific approach.
If your risk assessment identifies that staff may face a weapon threat but the issue of body armour is deemed to be inappropriate or disproportionate to that risk, then credible training to minimise the threat becomes even more important.
Working with a leading body armour manufacturer, Stand 2 have developed a one day programme designed specifically for those who may have to face armed aggression.
This can be delivered as a stand alone programme or as an add on (at a discounted price) to the one day CARE Conflict Management and/or Physical Intervention programmes.

Incorporate your training with an exciting bespoke two or three day team building event.
Not only will staff learn the CARE programme, they will also learn to apply those vital skills by competing in fun games and problem solving exercises which reinforce learning and encourage team work and bonding.
